About Yemi
I’ve proudly called Balch Springs home for over 16 years. I’m blessed to share this life with my amazing wife, Imma, and our beautiful daughter.
Before being elected to City Council in 2023, I served on several boards and committees dedicated to improving our community, including the Economic Development Board, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the City Charter Review Board. These experiences laid the foundation for my service on the council and my commitment to progress.
I bring more than 15 years of leadership experience managing federal projects for the U.S. Army (LMP), U.S. Navy (NAVSUP), and other Fortune 500 companies—experience that helps me bring practical, results-driven solutions to local government.
In just the past two years, District 7 has seen meaningful improvements.
We’ve completed or started infrastructure projects on Mercury Road, McKenzie Road, Platte Drive, and Horseshoe Trail, with more on the way.
We’ve also welcomed new businesses and advanced major economic development efforts, including the Alexander Village mixed-use development at 13601 IH-20, 4051 and 4105 S. Beltline Road.
Our parks have also seen exciting upgrades—from new restrooms, playgrounds, and field lighting to splash pad enhancements, court improvements, fence replacements, and new features like a pickleball court, volleyball area, and zipline play equipment.
The progress is real—but we’re not done yet.
Please vote in the upcoming local election. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue building a stronger future for District.
