                   General Election – May 3, 2025

January 15, 2025
• First day to file an application for a place on the ballot.

February 14, 2025
• Last day to file an application for a place on the ballot (Application must be received by 5 p.m.)

February 21, 2025
• Last day for a candidate to withdraw application for a place on the ballot (Must be received in writing by 5 p.m.)

February 24, 2025
• Drawing for position on the ballot at 10:00 a.m. in the City Hall.
(Date subject to change – all candidates will be notified if change is made).

April 3, 2025
• Last day to register to vote in order to be able to vote in the May 3rd election.
• 1st report of candidate/officeholder campaign finance report due (Must be received by 5 p.m.)

April 22, 2025
• First day for Early Voting by Personal Appearance at the Balch Springs Civic Center, 12400 Elam Road
Early Voting Schedule:
• April 22 (Tuesday) – April 25 (Friday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• April 26 (Saturday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• April 27 (Sunday): 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• April 28 (Monday) – April 29 (Tuesday): 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

April 25, 2025
• 2nd report of candidate/officeholder campaign finance report due (Must be received by 5 p.m.)

April 29, 2025
• Last day for Early Voting.

May 3, 2025
• ELECTION DAY – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

July 15, 2025

Last day for timely filing of semi-annual report of contributions and expenditures from campaigns.
